Pre-Production- ITV Leading Ladies

As I have decided to make the show for ITV, it seems a good idea to look at who ITV cast into their detective roles.

Scott and Bailey-
This is a current show on ITV starring two women detectives. ITV in July releases a Press Release stating new episodes of Scott and Bailey are commissioned.

The two leading ladies are perfect examples of women being detectives, they both are the right age for what I am looking for but are cast in serious roles. 

In this video we get a piece of the actress Suranne Jones and her personality.

Black Work-
ITV show with Sheridan Smith as a police women fighting personal battles that cross over with her work
This is a trailer showing dramatic scenes into what the show will be.

Sheridan Smith is a regular on ITV recently starring in the program Cilla.

Here are some images of the actress as a brunette which would suit my character profile but I believe that the actress looks to young. 

Broadchurch- 

Has strong female and male leads, the actress Olivia Coleman is a strong detective. 

The trailer featuring the two detectives show the tone of the show. 

Olivia is a well known face through comedy and drama.

Olivia is well suited to the role of Agatha due to her looks, age and the variety of roles she has done. 

Whitechapel- 

Although not with a female lead there is a ITV regular women in this show, in this show she is the DR.

Claire Rushbrook has also been in Home Fires and Double Time.

Although the right age, Claire does not have the same characteristics that would fit with Agatha.
