Studio Production- Body Image Research

In this day and age looking around the internet you will find a lot of information about Photoshop and Image perception, for our debate on Body Image I decided to look at the difference between men and women effected by Photoshop leading to a increase in the amount of eating disorders. The coverage is leaning more in the direction of women.

This website gives a good definition into Body Image what it is including negative and positive body images- National Eating Disorders website

This is a short film on YouTube featuring people talking about what they do not like about them selves with the use of data to explain the growing problem, they also use advertisement to show their point. It has a powerful point about the effect of eating disorders.

This an idea I have thought of for the VT's;

This is a video talking about eating disorders and how they have come about with the use of photoshop.

Justin Bieber being photoshopped, people being interviewed on YouTube to talk about the photoshopped image.

Cosmopolitan Have made a gallery of celebrities been photoshopped in promotional photo's.

They have also on YouTube given a male model a chance to talk about why he does not think people should be retouched up.

A quick clip of a women talking about why would women have surgery?

Huffington post- an article that talks about surveys that suggest photoshop needs to be discussed. More numbers are available from the company that carried out the survey- news day
